I am a new user of SkyDemon (SD) and find it an excellent product.
I fly a vintage aeroplane with minimal spare panel space, no generator/alternator derived electrical system, so have to rely on a battery supply for radio, transponder and my SD GPS.
My GPS is a panel mounted (but removable) Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone (Android).
I find the Samsung's display size is adequate for navigating in "map mode" and I can easily adjust SD font sizes to make the navigation data text items (GS/Track/ETA etc.) easily readable.

However, the DI/HSI "instrument" is quite difficult to read on a small display screen.
Would it be possible to enhance SD (Android on Smartphone) so the instrument can be displayed on a "separate" page? My thinking is that one can then simply toggle between the two displays; map navigation and DI/HSI navigation.
This would allow the navigation instrument to be presented in full, rather than just the upper quadrant as is currently the case.
Thanks
Tony

You can swipe the indicator up onto the screen and display it in 360 mode.

Hi Pete,

I have tried that but cannot move the "instrument". It appears fixed at the lower portion of the display (on my Samsung S4), with perhaps only the top 1cm of the instrument showing.
I can move it on my Nexus 7 (which isn't used in flight), so must be something to do with the different flavours of Android.

Also, should I have been able to move the instrument to display it in full on my S4 then:
1. It would all but completely cover the map
2. If shrunk down then the text and heading bug gets so small it is barely viewable.
3. It would be very fiddly to "move" the instrument in flight.

If my suggestion could be incorporated, then I believe the toggling between the display should be as simple in possible and -"in-flight" friendly. Perhaps a tab labeled "I" to accompany the "N", "W", "P" and "F"?
